It is Musical Society Mildura’s pleasure to announce that two Life Memberships were awarded this weekend. The first was an honorary life membership to Vaughan Stirrat. Vaughan’s contributions spanned at least 4 decade as a member of the orchestra and also as Musical Director. When presented the award by Life Member Peter Lang, Vaughan’s first thought was “what did I do to deserve this?”. You did a lot Vaughan. The second Life Member award was presented to Donald Mayne by Matthew Capp and Brendan Alderton on behalf of the Musical Society committee.
